    August long weekend race tradition continues at Elk Lake! Featuring a Triathlon, Duathlon & Aquabike, relay options, post race pancake breakfast for athletes, included in your registration!     SPRINT TRIATHLON                       750m Swim, 20k Bike, 5k Run
    STANDARD TRIATHLON                1,500m Swim, 40k Bike, 10K Run
    AQUABIKE                                        1,500m Swim and 40K Bike
    DUATHLON                                      5k Run, 40k Bike, 9.6K Run

    – Located 15k from downtown Victoria

  • COURSE

    TRANSITION

    – Located on the grass, between the main parking lot and the lake
    – Securely fenced with security at each access point
    – Bikes checked into transition on race morning
    – Bike racks assigned by Age Group and bib number

    SWIM COURSE

    Sprint – one 750m clockwise loop

    Standard & Aquabike– 1,500m Swim

    – Expected water temperature is 19 – 22 degrees
    – Lifeguards, Kayak and SUP Support on course

    Duathlon First Leg – 5 Km Run

    The start line will be on Brookleigh Rd at the bike mount/dismount line. Runners will run towards Hamsterly Rd and turn right at Hamsterly, running towards the lake following the signage and cone line, turning right into the park and towards the lake at the entrance gate.

    BIKE COURSE – NOTE BIKE COURSES HAVE CHANGED FOR 2023 DUE TO ROAD WORK. LINKS IN ATHLETE GUIDE.

    Sprint Bike – 20k

    – Feature a rolling out and back course
    – Certified traffic control and course marshals

    Total Elevation 80 m
    The Old West Saanich Rd section has couple of short downhills and uphills.  The longest climb on the course is returning on Old West Saanich Rd just after turning left off West Saanich Rd and is just over 1 Km long.

    LIMITLESS TRAINING RUN COURSE

    SPRINT course is a 5 Km

    STANDARD & DUATHLON course is 9.56 Km

    – The sprint course is a 2.5 Km out and back course.  Runners run south towards the Rowing Club and out to the Sprint turnaround
    – The Standard and Duathlon course is one counter clockwise loop of the lake

    POST-RACE

    – Custom Finishers medal at the Finish Line
    – Triathlon awards top3 in each category and based on 5 year age groups for triathlon.
    – Duathlon & Aquabike will be top 3 Overall

    Where is Elk Lake?

    Situated just 15km from the Inner Harbour of Victoria, BC, Elk Lake is a popular lake for peninsula residents for swimming, rowing and other water sports. Surrounded by the Elk lake trail the area offers an amazing venue for our race.
    Elk Lake is just less than 20km south of Swartz Bay ferry terminal and just off the Pat Bay Highway which runs north/south from the ferry terminal to downtown Victoria.
