Expected water temperature is 19 – 22 degrees
If above 22 degrees a non-wetsuit wave option will be available race morning.

Duathlon First Leg – 5 Km Run
New for 2018, the start line will be on brookleigh Rd at the bike mount/dismount line. Runners will run towards Hamsterly Rd and turn right at Hamsterly, running towards the lake following the signage and cone line, turning right into the park and towards the lake at the entrance gate.

The Old West Saanich Rd section has couple of short downhills and uphills. The longest climb on the course is returning on Old West Saanich Rd just after turning left off West Saanich Rd and is just over 1 Km long.

LIMITLESS TRAINING RUN COURSE
SPRINT course is a 5 Km
STANDARD & DUATHLON course is 9.56 Km
The sprint course is a 2.5 Km out and back course. Runners run south towards the Rowing Club and out to the Sprint turnaround
The Standard and Duathlon course is one counter clockwise loop of the lake
Custom Finishers medal at the Finish Line
Pancakes and fruit will be served post-race by the Central Saanich Lions Club
Triathlon awards 1,2,3 in each category and based on 5 year age groups for triathlon.
Duathlon & Aquabike will be top 5 Overall
Draw prizes from 2XU, Limitless Fitness, Oak Bay Bikes, Total Body Health and other local partners

Where is Elk Lake?
Situated just 15km from the Inner Harbour of Victoria, BC, Elk Lake is a popular lake for peninsula residents for swimming, rowing and other water sports. Surrounded by the Elk lake trail the area offers an amazing venue for our race.
Elk Lake is just less than 20km south of Swartz Bay ferry terminal and just off the Pat Bay Highway which runs north/south from the ferry terminal to downtown Victoria.
